As Maria approached from the main hall with a graceful stride, Angela was struck by her beauty.
She had seen many beautiful women in Hong Kong, but the sight of Maria for the first time left her shocked.
Her beauty was not merely impeccable, it was beyond imagination.
No matter how Angela envisioned the most beautiful woman in her mind, there was always an insurmountable difference
between that vision and Maria’s actual beauty.
Angela was still taken aback by her beauty.
Larry, who was nearby, said, “Allow me to introduce you.
This is Cathy Clark.
She has just arrived from Malaysia and will be studying archaeology as a freshman at Aurous Hill University.”
Angela regained her composure and asked, taken aback, “Did you say archeology major?”
“Yes,” Larry confirmed, smiling “She’s interested in traditional cultures and chose archeology because of her fascination with
cultural relics and historic sites.
She has a passion for these things,” he added.
“Meet Angela, the granddaughter I told you about,” said Larry to Maria, “She’s here for an interview for a lecturer position and
she’ll be at the university too.”
Maria politely extended her hand with a warm smile and said, “Hi, Angela.
It’s nice to meet you.
I’ll be attending the same university as you in the future, so please be kind and take care of me.”
Angela promptly extended her hand and responded, “It’s not guaranteed that I’ll be accepted at the university, but if I am, I’ll do
my best to look after you and provide all the help I can.”
Maria smiled and enquired, “May I know what subjects you’ll be teaching at the university, Sister Angela?”

“I specialized in Chinese Language and Literature, as well as Ancient Chinese,” Angela replied.
Maria asked, “Will archeology majors be required to take Chinese language courses?”
Angela replied, “I’m not certain.
It would make sense since archeology is a type of history, but it depends on each university’s curriculum.”
Maria smiled, “I hope they do, then I can take your classes, Sister Angela.”
Despite Angela’s shyness, Maria’s friendly smile immediately put her at ease.
Angela returned the smile and said joyfully, “Sure! If I get the job, I hope you’ll come to my lectures.”
Larry was happy to see the two getting along, then he suggested, “It’s great that the two of you have hit it off.
Let’s go inside and continue our conversation over some tea.”
Both Angela and Maria agreed and the group made their way to the living room.
When they sat down in the living room, Maria asked Angela curiously, “Why did you choose to come to Aurous Hill from Hong
Kong, Sister Angela? There is still a big gap between first-tier international cities and second-tier cities in mainland China.”
Angela gave a slight smile.
She then spouted the same reasons she mentioned to Michelle, “Life in Hong Kong was fast-paced, with a dense population and
limited land, leading to scarce resources.
In contrast, life in second-tier cities in mainland China was more relaxed, even if not as developed as first-tier international
cities.”
